Von Bondies to Play on New Years Eve

by admin on 12/15/2009

von-bondiesGarage rockers the Von Bondies stated yesterday on Twitter that they will be playing a show on New Years Eve in Michigan this year. After stating in October that the band wouldn’t be doing any more local shows until 2010, they decided that a New Years Eve show would be a possibility. Made popular from a new years show in 2000, the Von Bondies are one of the most recognizable local bands on the Detroit underground scene. The venue or opening bands for the show have not yet been announced. A decade in the making, the Von Bondies plan to usher in the new year and celebrate their success on the Detroit underground scene.

For more information on upcoming shows as well as this one, check back on Detroit Underground. Michigan underground fans would love to see a band who has blown up to ridiculous proportions as far as the garage rock scene is concerned and ring in the new year in the D. Hopefully the Twitter updates are a concrete enough source for their plans, but there’s always the chance of a drunken tweet, etc. So far, plan for the Von Bondies to hopefully catch their next big break as 2010 is met with a bang.
