It’s been a crazy year. Full of breakthrough local acts, national triumph and tragedy, and a tumultuous economic time for the Motor City. Bright spots within a canopy of darkness within the city, incredible new bands emerging in economic downfall, a resilient underground music crowd, keeping the scene going. Here is a list of concerts in Detroit ensuring a happy and undeniably awesome new year for Detroit underground music fans. With any luck 2010 will be a continuation of the great trends of music within the city, perpetuating a culturally rich scene with plenty of variety and undying creativity.
