Detroit experimental outfit Child Bite will play its last show with its current lineup on February 26, 2010. The band will be losing members Christian Doble and Zach Norton who are pursuing a new band (FAWN) and a new job in Seattle respectively. While this comes as quite a blow to Child Bite not only due to the room for experimentation, but the band will also miss the friendships that they’ve developed over the years. Parting was on good terms, the remaining members of the band will begin experimenting with a new guitarist and dueling drummers as well as touring and promoting the release of their new LP The Living Breathing Organ Summer.
While this will undoubtedly take a slight dynamic from their music temporarily, Child Bite has chosen to continue their music endeavor and hopefully find sound replacements for the members. Band members have all come to the agreement that people’s lives change, and with that so does a band’s music. Fans of Child Bite should definitely catch the farewell show on the 26 with Terrible Twos, Marco Polio and the New Vaccines, and Lord Scrummage at the Magic Stick.
