Quite possibly the most eventful weekend of 2010 thus far, some well known rising stars of the indie scene will visit Detroit this weekend. From classic indie rockers to rising indie pop stars, Detroit has anything music lovers could ever ask for in one weekend. Yeah it’s cold, we’re in the dead of winter, and there seems to be no hope for warm weather in sight, but at least inside it won’t suck as bad. Unfortunately the Kings of Convenience show at the Crofoot has been postponed. I thought it was a little crazy that St. Vincent and KOC would be playing at the same time.
If there was ever a weekend to brave the elements and get the hell out of the house, this is it. Check out the best Detroit concerts of the winter, a series of shows that will keep you busy the entire weekend and show you just how amazing the Detroit concert scene can be. Weekends like this is why we refused to leave the side of Detroit music, a lover that may be estranged, but always comes through in the clutch.
