FernCare Fundraiser

In order to provide medical insurance for the uninsured and under-insured in the Detroit area, the FernCare organization will be holding a benefit concert at the Phoenix Cafe in Hazel Park. The exhibition of art, music, and food will feature some of the best rising acts in the Detroit underground music scene to benefit a worthy cause. Admittance to the show requires only a $10 donation. Guests will enjoy performances by Duende, Black Lodge, and the Crooks while enjoying delicious food and a local art show.

FernCare, the free health clinic in Ferndale and offers every service available willing to be filled by volunteers and whatever services are most important to the community. The service is open for all individuals between the ages of 18 and 64 who are uninsured or under-insured. The relatively new facility offers care and counseling as well as emergency and medical care as their financing increases. This is a great chance to hear some great Detroit music as well as help donate to a clinic dedicated to helping those in need.

In addition to donating, individuals can volunteer to offer their services to FernCare and help the community. The clinic will be functional very soon and is counting on your donations to fulfill their vision. Check out the FernCare Fundraiser at the Phoenix Cafe in Hazel Park and do your part to ensure medical coverage for uninsured individuals in the community. For a measly $10 you can help those who can’t afford medical insurance on their own and check out some of the rising stars in the Detroit underground scene.
