Shawn Knight, Zach Norton, Danny Sperry, and Sean Clancy make up experimental Detroit rock outfit Child Bite. Bringing a widely diverse style and numerous instruments to table, Child Bite is truly one of the more unique outfits to emerge from the Detroit area. Slick rock instrumentals, including banjo, organ, saxophone, and violin along with memorable facial hair makes for a truly bizarre and entertaining live show.
The band’s name was voted on and picked from a long list of potential names as was the name of their record Gold Thriller. It was also in Gold Thriller that marked the appearance of Sean Clancy as a full time member on the bass.
Since about 2007, Child Bite has been signed to the Ann Arbor based Suburban Sprawl Music.
Loosely comparable to bands such as Man Man, Child Bite will leave you scratching your head and asking ‘what the hell was that, and why am I aroused.’ Their live shows have been revered as some of the most fun by those who have experienced them and their crazy style of textured music is a perfect representation of the entire Detroit underground music scene put together into one utterly baffling group.
