Computer Perfection

Computer PerfectionSplintering from Detroit indie pop mavens Pas/Cal, members Gene C, Bem, N. Burgundy, Stevers McFever, and Aaron Q make up the five piece experimental outfit Computer Perfection. Incorporating elements from Pas/Cal, the band offers listeners a rich and intelligent sonic landscape that is unique, every changing, and brilliant. Beautiful synthesized overtones side by side with airy, polished vocals to create a dreamy sound with plenty of pulsing drums and distorted riffs. The psychedelic ambiance that the band showcases epitomizes what is becoming a huge electro-pop movement in Detroit underground movement.

A wide variety of influences, each drawn from and incorporated into the larger scheme of their music keeps it unlike anything you’ve ever heard. A swirl of sounds on a canvas of keyboard, drums, guitar, and bass take the music in all different directions, letting the listener simply drift off in the vast layers of music. Their first LP titled We Wish you Well on your Way to Hell picks up right where Pas/Cal left off with it’s undeniable indie pop prowess, while diverging greatly from the original band and beautifully splicing in electronic elements. Each varied music background of the band members play off of each other perfectly and individuals influences are prevalent throughout the entire album. Computer Perfection is currently in the midst of recording their second album and listeners can expect a highly evolved genre bending experience, a continuation of what is already a stellar library of music.

Without sticking to a certain formula and constantly building off of one another, the music of Computer Perfection takes the listener all over the spectrum, songs blending into the next, sucking listeners into a veritable vortex of deep, dynamic sound. A far cry from Pas/Cal, Computer Perfection gives listeners a far more expansive form of pop music; endless experimentation leads the listener to the ends of the space rock spectrum, right back to improvised indie pop and everywhere in between.
