Clutch Cargos is the perfect place for individuals with eclectic taste looking for a night club that deviates from the norm. Hosting independent events some nights, and being a dance your ass off night club on others means something for everyone in downtown Pontiac. Hosting some of the more well known acts in the music industry, this is the place to go for music that isn’t quite as expensive as your Palace of Auburn Hills, but still popular enough to draw a crowd. Located in what was once an old church, Clutch Cargos has a great layout for catching multiple views of concerts and was voted “best place to find a one-night stand” by Metrotimes.
One of the more eclectic venues in the Detroit area, Clutch Cargos hosts everything from concerts to cage matches to live Rocky Horror Picture Show renditions. Whether your bag is punk rock or hardcore Detroit underground rap, Clutch probably has something for you planned in the near future. Their wide range of activities and crowds makes them a venue that most people will not hit every night, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself there once or twice a year for that even that simply isn’t happening anywhere else.
Clutch Cargos also has a few perks for being an attractive woman, which draws them to the establishment, hence the “one night stand” award it has laid claim to. There’s something about nightclubs and discounts on hookah bars that bring the crowd in. The drinks are reasonably priced and they offer a wide variety of spirits for both the beer snob and the liquor connoisseur.
